SUMMARY:Online Retreat - Come to the Table
DESCRIPTION:We want to offer a spiritual retreat time to those who might be feeling weary\, worn down and wanting a bit of space. \nWe have asked 3 Spiritual Directors/Retreat Facilitators to guide you through this time over Zoom; there will be a mixture of self reflection\, music\, Bible reading\, small group sharing & more. \nThis online retreat is facilitated by Pauline Wilson who has worked alongside her husband\, Alan\, in pastoral ministry for 21 years (17 in Switzerland and 4 in N.Ireland) before training as a biblical counsellor. She now divides her time between providing counselling and facilitating retreats. She loves the privilege of seeing God at work. In her spare time\, she enjoys cooking\, gardening\, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. \nRetreat Details: \nEaster can just sneak up on us and before we know it\, it’s Easter Sunday and we are swept along into all the celebrations of the resurrection. \nWhy not take a half-day to prepare yourself for Easter\, by joining us on our ‘Come to the table’ retreat? \nWe will be thinking about three tables: \n\nking David’s table\, with the extravagant invitation to eat at the king’s table ‘as one of the king’s sons’ (II Samuel 9).\nthe bird table\, with the beautiful invitation to ‘Consider the birds of the air’ (Luke 12).\nthe Lord’s table\, with the gracious invitation to ‘Do this\, in remembrance of Me’ (I Corinthians 11).\n\nAll three invitations are reminders of the grace which we are being offered\, as children of the King. \nCome and join us as take this journey together! \nMy main takeaway from the retreat was the progression towards the Lord. I loved that we started with how privileged we are to be able to sit at the king’s table; then how the bird table teaches us that\, just as God provides for the birds\, so too we can trust in his provision and his permission to be at the table; and then ending with communion at the Lord’s table was a lovely end to a reflective day. –previous participant \nBook your spot here\n  \n

SUMMARY:Online Retreat - Finding Light within Darkness
DESCRIPTION:We want to offer a spiritual retreat time to those who might be feeling weary\, worn down and wanting a bit of space. \nWe have asked 3 Spiritual Directors/Retreat Facilitators to guide you through this time over Zoom; there will be a mixture of self reflection\, music\, Bible reading\, small group sharing & more. \nThe theme for this retreat is Finding Light within the Darkness.\nOne of the best advices that I have received in the last few years has been: “Go for the light not the darkness”. \nWhat does it mean to go for the light in our own lives and in the lives of others? What does it mean to see us not according to what we think we should be but according to how God sees us? \nThis will be a mini-retreat\, a taster\, the intention is to plant a seed that might grow within each one of us even after we finish meeting. \nWe will do this by looking at one very well known Psalm: 139 and some of Jesus’ encounters with different people. How Jesus never looked at people for what they were not but for what or who they could become under his leadership. \nThis is an invitation to a journey on transformation. \n\n19:30 Welcome and personal introductions\n19:40 Coming home to ourselves\n19:50 Meditative reading of John 1:35-39\n20:10 Psalm 139 – Finding light within ourselves (input & questions)\n20:30 Sharing time\n20:45 What light can show us. A reflection on Rembrandt’s painting of the return of the prodigal son\n21:00 Responding to the light\n21:15/21:30 What do we take away? A final prayer\n\nThis online retreat is facilitated by Ana Mullan.\nShe was born in Argentina and is married to Seán and she has been living in Ireland for 37 years. Involved in church planting and church leadership for 22 years in Cork and Dublin. The last 10 she’s been partly involved in a social enterprise called Third Space in Dublin. She has a BA in Applied Theology from Irish Bible Institute and Diploma in Spiritual direction from Milltown Institute. At the moment she is also training on how to give the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola for people who are eager to go deeper with God\, a tool that has been extremely powerful in her own life. She is also an abstract artist\, expressing her inner journey through colour and also using art as a medium to help others get closer to God. She is the mother of three adult children & grandmother to three gorgeous girls. Her favourite statement to live by is: “The glory of God is a human being fully alive.” (Irenaeus) \nBook your spot here!

SUMMARY:Online Retreat - Living with Curiosity & Compassion
DESCRIPTION:We want to offer a spiritual retreat time to those who might be feeling weary\, worn down and wanting a bit of space. \nWe have asked 3 Spiritual Directors/Retreat Facilitators to guide you through this time over Zoom; there will be a mixture of self reflection\, music\, Bible reading\, small group sharing & more. \nThe theme for this retreat is Living with Curiosity & Compassion: The Story of Blind Bartimaus. \nIt is facilitated by Catherine Carey RGN\, RM\, HDip Public health\, MA Science\, Dip. Spirituality. She is a contemplative in action\, a pilgrim learning to live in the present moment and experience the revelation of God in daily life. Along with her husband Fergus she leads a small missional community of believers. With a strong focus on community\, she volunteers with social justice projects in the city and runs the Dublin healing rooms. Originally from Limerick\, Catherine has lived in Dublin since 1991. She has four adult children and four granddaughters. After a decade at home when her children were little\, she then spent 25 years in public health nursing. Following early retirement\, she has time to focus on her ministry as a spiritual director and lead guided Scriptural meditations with groups and run retreats. Over lockdown Catherine has enjoyed long walks in nature\, hours of reading and regular sea swims but has missed being with family and sharing meals with friends. \nOption for 30min Spiritual Direction in the afternoon (book in advance\, limited spaces) \nMore details on the retreat format to come. \nBook your spot here!
